Rose Namajunas V Michelle Waterson: What will go down:

One of the most exciting matchups in the Strawweight division takes place this weekend:
UFC Fight Night Kansas City sees two of the mist exciting Strawweight challengers square off, as Ross Namajunas takes on former Invicta FC Atomweight champ Michelle Waterson in the nights co-main event. With title implications against either Joanna Jedrzejczyk or UFC 213 challenger Jessica Andrade awaiting the victor, this bout could realistically be viewed as a 115lbs title eliminator.

The Ultimate Fighter season 20 runner up 'Thug' Namajunas, can count herself unfortunate to not have already had a crack at the undefeated Jedrzejczyk, losing a decision to UFC 205 losing party Karolina Kowalkiewicz back in July 2016, while rising star Waterson, easily dispatched Paige VanZant in their main event slot in Sacramento, California last December to shoot up the Strawweight rankings

A submission specialist at heart, 'The Karate Hottie' Waterson, is also a more than adapt Karate practitioner, hence her nickname, holding a black belt in the art. With 9 submission wins to her name, Waterson has forced the tap from the aforementioned '12 Gauge' VanZant, but also former Strawweight title challenger Jessica Penne, when the pair clashed for the Invicta FC 105lbs, with Michelle winning via armbar.

Rose Namajunas is no push over for any 115lbs competitor, with her BJJ brown belt, and black belts in both Karate and Taekwondo. Namajunas despite being only 24 years of age, has finishes over Joanne Calderwood, Angela Hill, Alex Chambers, Randa Markos and Paige VanZant on her résumé, in turn establishing her as one of the most feared contenders in the division today.

Rose Namajunas via submission.
