Former Lightweight champ Rafael Dos Anjos to make 170lbs bow against Tarec Saffiedine:

Brazil's Rafael Dos Anjos is chasing second division silverware.
Since his title loss to Eddie Alvarez and a decision defeat to Tony Ferguson, Brazilian powerhouse Rafael Dos Anjos announced that he would be willing to test himself at Welterweight, in an attempt to reignite his stumbling career. The pressure fighter was rumoured to face Colby Covington in his 170lbs debut, after recent Twitter barbs from the latter heated up a rivalry, but today it was officially announced that RDA would in fact face former Strikeforce Welterweight champ Tarec Saffiedine at UFC Fight Night Singapore. Dos Anjos and Belgium star Saffiedine, join fellow former champ Andrei Arlovski on the mid June card. It is still unknown weather Dos Anjos and Saffiedine will headline the card, but with Tarec's stern Tae Kwon Do background and BJJ black belt to combat Dos Anjos' grappling game, Dos Anjos will be well tested by the Belgian. The 'Sponge' Saffiedine is known for his accurate yet patient striking game, but against an aggressive style like RDA's particularly with those sharp power leg kicks, Dos Anjos may look to impede his opponent's most revered weapons early on. Good stylistic matchup for Dos Anjos' debut.
