Demian Maia V Carlos Condit: What will go down

UFC Fight Night Vancouver sees a fantastic Welterweight clash between Brazilian Ju-Jitsu black belt Demian Maia and Former title contender Carlos 'The Natural Born Killer' Condit. Maia comes of an impressive submission victory over 'The Immortal' Matt Brown at UFC 198 in Brazil. Condit last fought and lost to former Welterweight champion 'Ruthless' Robbie Lawler at UFC 195 in January in a 5 round war in which many critics have the victory to Condit. Maia possesses arguably the best ground game in the entire UFC, will look to take this fight to the ground as soon as possible and utilise his superior Ju-Jitsu. Condit is a seasoned veteran in the UFC holding an impressive 30-8 record in the UFC with his last win coming against Brazilian Thiago Alves due to a doctor stoppage. Interesting, Condit has been defeated by newly crowned Welterweight King Tyron Woodley after sustaining an unfortunate knee injury. Maia 26-3 in his career, holds many submission of the night awards and fought Anderson 'The Spider' Silva for the Middleweight title during the Brazilian's historic dominance of the division. Condit is no slouch when it comes to Ju-Jitsu, holding a brown belt but Maia's experience should be enough to carry him to a victory.
