Paige VanZant V Bec Rawlings:

Number 10 ranked UFC Women's Strawweight contender Paige VanZant took on 27 year old Australian native 'Rowdy' Bec Rawlings in VanZant's return to the octagon. The 22 year old had taken some time off from the octagon and appeared on the American version of Dancing With The Stars, but insisted that Hollywood would distract her from the UFC. Dan Miragliotta got us underway with VanZant opening the pressure fighter. Rawlings landed a decent combination and they both clinched up against the fence. Paige landed a teep kick but Bec landed another body head combination. Paige then tried an audacious Capoeira kick which missed wildly. VanZant then scored with a decent jumping switch kick with 30 seconds left in the first. VanZant then landed a combination of her own which hurt Rawlings but she survived to make the second round.

VanZant opened again with a jumping switch kick which sent Rawlings to the canvas and the 22 year old American followed it up on the ground and ended with strikes on the ground to mark her return with a knockout victory.
