McGregor not fazed by Nate Diaz's ground game.

With just 9 days to go until the rematch between 'The Notorious' Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz, the Dublin native has aimed another jab at Stockton's own. McGregor told how he is 'confident in the mat with Nate' even though Diaz win the fight using his superior Brazilian Ju-Jitsu skills to lock in a rear naked choke and forced the Featherweight champion to tap. McGregor told how since that defeat, he has brought in heavier and more more experienced Ju-Jitsu practitioners in an attempt to develop his endurance and experience on the ground, particularly in the later rounds. Grappling expert Dillon Danis has been brought in by McGregor and co in an attempt to develop his skills. The Irish man did compliment Nate's ground game telling how 'Nate is very skilled on the mat' but how the fight wasn't lost by Ju-Jitsu, but rather by endurance and precision. After a mainly one sided first 5 minutes in round 1 in which McGregor bloodied the eye of the Diaz brother, The Ultimate Fighter season 5 winner then in the second used his longer reach to his advantage as he disguised his long snake like jab before landing a fight changing 1-2 with just over half the second round gone. McGregor ultimately tried to take the fight to the ground in a desperate attempt to survive. An onslaught of strikes landed before the Irish native rolled to his stomach in an attempt to prevent being knocked out. Diaz then expertly wrenched in a rear naked choke resulting in a tap. McGregor also complimented his own ground game as he told how he expertly 'swept' Diaz as the round ended, after being taken to the floor after a kick he threw was caught.
