Can the 'Pitbull' claim the W to extend her win streak? |
Former UFC Women's Bantamweight title challenger Bethe Correia, will look to re-enter title contention, with a win over American fighter Marion Reneau at UFC Fight Night Fortaleza. Correia, challenged once 135lbs queen Ronda Rousey in Brazil at UFC 190, but was KO'ed early in the first round from the predominantly Judo fighter. The 'Pitbull' is a superb standup competitor, a Purple sash in Kung Fu, but has only finished two of her 10 wins, noticeably finishing Shayna Baszler at UFC 177. Bethe also trains at the American Kickboxing Academy (AKA). Reneau could easily be argued as the more emphatic finisher, stopping 6 of her opponents by either submission or knockout. Correia has the more established and seasosned oppoenents on her resume, including Ronda Rousey, Raquel Pennington and most recently, scoring a win over Jessica 'Evil' Eye. Bethe should hold the superior striking credentials, but Marion Reneau will most certainly dominate the potential grappling exchanges, with her BJJ black belt.
