Can Anderson Silva put the breaks on the Gastelum train?
After steam rolling former UFC Light Heavyweight champion Vitor Belfort at UFC Fight Night Fortaleza, Middleweight prospect Kelvin Gastelum took to Brian Stann's mic to call for a UFC 212 bout against 'The Phenom{s}' compatriot, Anderson Silva, and his wish has just been granted by UFC brass. Gastelum recently exploded onto the 185lbs scene after weight cutting issues, and is currently 2-0 since his most recent delve into the divison, convincingly stopping Tim Kennedy, and just last Saturday, MMA icon Vitor. Gastelum has been touted as a real prospect at Middleweight, with his fantastic footwork and bruising boxing skills, particularly his left hand, and a victory over former 185lbs king Silva, would see a considerable increase in the youngster's stock. Silva was himself victorious on his last appearance in the octagon, controversially claiming a decision win over American Derek Brunson at UFC 208, to pick up his first win since October 2012.
