Georges St-Pierre to challenge Michael Bisping for Middleweight crown:

Middleweight king Michael Bisping will look for a second successful title defence against GSP.
UFC President Dana White this afternoon, put a firm end to all the recent speculation surrounding the return of former Welterweight champ Georges St-Pierre, confirming that 'Rush' would return to the octagon, in a Middleweight title clash against British reigning champ Michael 'The Count' Bisping, sometime in 2017. This controversial decision sees the Canadian star unfairly leapfrog deserved challengers Yoel Romero and former Strikeforce Middleweight champ Ronaldo 'Jacaré' Souza in order to challenge for the crown. GSP, last featured against Johny Hendricks in a controversial win for the former Welterweight king, picking up a decision victory after taking a pummelling, before subsequently taking his recently ended hiatus and vacating the 170lbs crown. Now 35 years of age, St-Pierre has elected to try his hand at 185lbs preventing his severe weight cut in his older age at the same time. Bisping shocked the attending fans at UFC 199, scoring an upset first round knockout win over Luke Rockhold in the pairs rematch to steal the Middleweight title, and in doing so becoming the first fight from Britain to hold a Ultimate Fighting Championship title. The Manchester native then went on to headline UFC 204 in his home country, picking up a decision victory against Dan Henderson, despite being dropped more than once by the now retired icon.
