Lightweight scrap between Eddie Alvarez and Dustin Poirier added to UFC 211:

'The Undergorund King' battles 'The Diamond' for a possible second crack at Conor McGregor for both men.
Former UFC Lightweight champion Eddie 'The Underground King' Alvarez and former Featherweight top contender Dustin Poirier will go to war in a possible Fight of The Night contender at UFC 211 in Dallas, Texas. This bout adds to the already stacked card, which features a Heavyweight championship battle between Stipe Miocic and Junior dos Santos, a Women's Strawweight battle between Joanna Jędrzejczyk and Jéssica Andrade and a 170lbs potential title eliminator between Demian Maia and Jorge Masvidal. Former Bellator king Eddie Alvarez, was unsuccessful in his first 155lbs title defence, at UFC 205, when Dublin born Conor McGregor claimed the title via a second round knockout, after a dominant striking display. Another one of 'The Notorious{'}' former foes Poirier, has been rather successful claiming 4 consecutive victories, before a devastating first round loss to Michael Johnson. 'The Diamond' then recovered from that loss with a decision win over Jim Miller, to earn his shot at Alvarez. Alvarez a supreme wrestler, can crack as well, evident from his UFC Lightweight title victory over Rafael Dos Anjos, but you could definitely be argued that Dustin is the better striker, coming from his boxing background, and delt severe damage against Jim Miller, especially against the fence. Expect fireworks.
