'Cowboy' Oliveira snatches RNC win over Tim Means:

Alex 'Cowboy' Oliveira displays wrestling prowess with win over Tim Means.
The main card of UFC Fight Night Fortaleza got underway in the Welterweight division, in the form of a UFC 207 rematch between Alex 'Cowboy' Oliveira and Tim Means. The first meeting of the two resulted in a No Contest after multiple illegal knees from Means left Oliveira, unable to continue. Let's hope we get a definitive ending this time.

Cowboy' began in hugely aggressive fashion, targeting the body of 'The Dirty Bird' with kicks, before landing a notable spinning back kick to the body of the American. Against the fence, Oliveira managed to take the fight to the ground, as he scored an early takedown. Means utilised the butterfly guard to make it to his feet, before 'Cowboy' scored yet another takedown. A third, and then a fourth takedown landed in quick succession for the 'Cowboy', who was really exerting his wrestling ability. First round in the books for Oliveira.

The second round began with a much more relaxed Oliveira, before Means tried for a single leg after a missed wheel kick from the Brazilian. Another double leg takedown scored for 'Cowboy', with Means defending well. Another takedown landed in favour of the Brazilian, who moved to the back of Tim Means, secured the body lock and secured a rear naked choke victory in the second round. One of the best performances we've seen so far from Alex Oliveira.
