Swede striker David Teymur display skills complete game against 'groovy'. |
Promoted to co-main event, Lando Vannata and Swede striker David Teymur square off in an exciting standup Lightweight clash. Veteran referee Herb Dean got us underway for this three round bout. Lando assumed octagon control early on, but ate some leg kicks from Teymur. An exchange of strikes excited the on looking crowd as Teymur was cracked with a cartwheel kick, before being dropped by the hands of Lando. A superman punch from Teymur knocked the mouthpiece out of Lando's mouth, forcing a stoppage in the action. Teymur then scored a good switch left high kick, before Vannata secured a ferocious takedown, before Teymur recovered and made it back to his feet. First round over, pick'em round. Lando was loosening up big time in the second, with both men exchanging shots . Teymur scored some big knees in the clinch, with Lando just absorbing them and smiling. Lando then counted a high kick with a wheel kick, with John Makdessi aware of that certain technique from the pairs meeting. Teymur once more landed a big superman punch, before a deep double leg takedown. Teymur again landed knees in the clinch, before a hook connected. The third and final round of this 155lbs clash, began with fantastic footwork from Vannata who was landing some good oblique kicks. Teymur was landing well, before another takedown attempt proved to successful. Another couple of takedowns landed for the Swede Teymur as the decision was left to the judges. A unanimous decision was handed to David Teymur who scored an amazing upset.
