Gunnar Nelson forces tap from Alan Jouban with a nasty guillotine:

'Gunni' Nelson finishes superbly once more.
Our co-main event of the evening sees an important Welterweight clash between crowd favourite Gunnar Nelson and Muay Thai practitioner Alan Jouban. 'Gunni' features in the octagon for the first time since May, 2016 where he finished Albert Tumenov. Jouban picked up a very impressive victory over dangerous striker Mike Perry, but faces stiff competition from the Karate and grappling of Gunnar Nelson. Another Straight Blast Gym product, the Reykjavik native is a very dangerous striker, but the calm, collected Iceland star is an event deadlier grappler. Huge implications await Nelson if he proves to be victorious, while top 10 contention may lie in wait for Alan Jouban.

Marc Goddard stood between both men for this clash, with the opening round proving a tentative meeting for the two. Jouban did though, land some good inside leg kicks, stinging Gunnar, before a good takedown landed for 'Gunni'. Nelson mounted quite quickly against the 10th Planet Jiu-Jitsu star Jouban. A huge elbowed landed from mount for Nelson as the round ended. First round to Gunnar.

The second round started explosively for Nelson, with his underrated standup stunning Jouban, with a right hand landing flush, and then a high kick dropped Jouban. From the mat, Nelson locked up a fantastic guillotine and forced the tap from Alan Jouban.
