Arsenal v Middlesborough:
Arsenal welcomed Aitor Karanka's Middlesborough side to The Emirates, as they looked to go top of the Premier League tree. A dominant home display against Ludogorets seen them find the net six times on Wednesday night in the UEFA Champions League, while promoted Middlesborough were beaten at home by Watford on Sunday. It was the visitors who started brighter with Adama Traore forcing a great stop from Cech after seizing on Koscienly's mistake. It was then a tale of two free kicks, with Gaston Ramirez hitting the post, before Alexis Sanchez forced Victor Valdes into action from a similar position. Adama Traore was lively throughout the first half with Gaston Ramirez benefitting as Cech again kept the score level after a good header from Ramirez. Alexis cloud have easily had a hatrick after the break, going close with his second free kick, before forcing a save from Valdes after a great effort. Traore was again running the Arsenal defence ragged before Cech kept him out with a smart save. Traore found Alvaro Negredo towards the end, and the Spaniard, looking to cut onto his right foot, was brillanty stopped by the recovering Koscienly. Mesut Ozil had a goal ruled out for offside late on as Arsenal could count themselves lucky to share the points with Middlesborough.
