Arsenal v Swansea City:

Arsenal hosted Swansea City at the Emirates, with American coach Bob Bradley taking charge for the first time in 'The Swans' dugout. The former USA national team coach replaced Italian manager Francesco Guidolin at the helm and was faced with a tricky situation to turn the tide for the Welsh side. Arsenal, as expected dominated possession for most of the first half, with Swansea looking to find a chance on the counter attack, with former Norwich City midfielder Leroy Fer going close on one occasion. With 25 minute gone, Hector Bellerin's dangerous header across goal fell to Theo Walcott who nipped in ahead of Jordi Amat to give the London club the opening goal. Minutes later, another Swansea slip up, this time from, Federico Fernandez, allowed Walcott to again finish with ease from close range, 2 nil Arsenal. The third goal came from yet another mistake with Granit Xhaka playing in Glyfi Sigurdsson, who expertly curled past Petr Cech to give Bradley his first goal as Swansea manager, and a lifeline heading into the break. Arsenal started the second half brightly, with Alex Iwobi finding Ozil before Walcott was denied his hatrick by Lukasz Fabianski. Moments later, Sanchez's back post ball found Mesut Ozil who volleyed past former 'Gunners' goalie Fabianski, to made it 3-1. Substitute Borja Baston scored late on for the rallying Swansea before Barrow was tripped by Xhaka who subsequently, received his marching orders. Walcott could have scored 3-4, but his shot was denied by the upright and he fired high in stoppage time.
