Leicester City v Crystal Palace:

Reigning Premier League champions Leicester City faced Crystal Palace at the King Power Stadium as they looked to go 20 games unbeaten at home in the domestic league. Ranieri's side were in midweek UEFA Champions League action , scoring a home win against FC Copenhagen, while Pardew's Palace were beaten at home by West Ham United last Saturday. Jamie Vardy was dropped to the bench, while the impressive Islam Slimani kept his place leading the line, while Yohan Cabaye came in for the injured Jason Puncheon. Steve Mandanda was grateful for Shinji Okazaki's missed effort inside the open minute or so, after the Frenchman teed up the Japan striker. Belgian striker Christian Benteke headed against the bar inside 15 minutes, after a good delivery from Martin Kelly. Leicester created a good chance through Riyad Mahrez with the Algerian's cross finding Okazaki who could only fire over again. Nigerian forward Ahmed Musa found space on the edge of the area, and rifled into the top corner past Mandanda to give Leicester the lead before the end of the first half. Leicester continued their attacking momentum into the second half with Shinji Okazaki finding the net after the hour mark. It was one way traffic from then on with Christian Fuchs finishing brilliantly from 25 yards. French midfielder Yohan Cabaye forced a good stop from Kasper Schmeichel, but moments later, beat the Dane with an identical effort to give Palace a consolation.
