Jose Aldo and Dominick Cruz superfight rumoured:
Current UFC Interim Featherweight champion Jose Aldo and UFC Bantamweight champion Dominick Cruz are rumoured to be matched up at UFC 207 in Las Vegas, at the end of December. Controversy has surrounded the Brazilian recently, with Aldo telling how he has may 'throw' his next fight in the organisation, if he isn't released from his contract. Aldo is said to be upset about Conor McGregor's Lightweight title clash with Eddie Alvarez, with many claiming the Brazil native was promised another crack at the Dublin born McGregor. Aldo last fought at UFC 200, beating Frankie 'The Answer' Edgar to claim the Interim title at 145lbs. Cruz on the other hand, completed his trilogy fight against Urijah Faber, picking up a decision win over 'The Californian Kid'. Cruz was rumoured to have his next title defence against either Jimmie Rivera. John Lineker or power puncher Cody Garbrandt at UFC 207. Just yesterday, Aldo told how he loves Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and that he may start competing in Jiu-Jitsu tournaments. It is unknown if the rumoured bout would be for a title, but if McGregor were to win the Lightweight crown at UFC 205, and then relinquish his Featherweight crown, Aldo and Cruz could battle for the vacant strap?
