Dominick Cruz and Cody Garbrandt official for UFC 207:

Current UFC Bantamweight champion Dominick Cruz will defend his title against #6 ranked contender, Cody 'No Love' Garbrandt. Cruz successfully defended his gold at UFC 199 in California, against Urijah Faber the pairs third bout. The undefeated Garbrandt certainly hasn't been wasting time on rout to a title shot, beating contenders Ricardo Almeida and Takeya Mizugaki most recently, with both coming by first round knockouts. Nobody can question Garbrandt's sheer one punch knockout power at 135lbs, but if Cruz can utilise his incredible footwork, he leaves the youngster with very little other than his hands to work with. Cruz is undoubtedly one of the most intelligent fighters to ever grace the octagon, and his intelligence alone may prove to be the difference in his title bout. Many critics have questioned the match ups in the Ultimate Fighting Championhip as of recent, with many questioning how Jimmie Rivera or John Lineker hasn't been given the next crack at the champ, with both men ranked higher than Garbrandt. An interesting matchup for Garbrandt before a bout with Cruz, would be against former Team Alpha male teammate T.J. Dillashaw, with the winner facing Cruz for the title in their next bout.
