Max Holloway meets Anthony Pettis at UFC 206:

A hugely exciting Featherweight bout has been added to Toronto's UFC 206 lineup, with #3 ranked Max 'Blessed' Holloway taking on former UFC Lightweight champion, and now #6 ranked Featherweight contender, Anthony 'Showtime' Pettis. Holloway, has gone on a scary tear since his 2013 loss to current UFC Featherweight champion, Conor McGregor, winning 9 on the trot, most recently, picking up a decision win against Ricardo Lamas at UFC 199 in California. Pettis got back on the winning track in his Featherweight debut, submitting Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu expert Charles Oliviera, after losing three bouts in a row, against Rafael Dos Anjos, Eddie Alvarez and Brazilian striker Edson Barboza. Both men possess fantastic stand up games, with Pettis maybe holding the advantage if the fight were to find a way to the ground, but Holloway has incredible takedown defence. A win for Holloway would more than likely secure him a title shot at either current champ Conor McGregor, or interim Featherweight champion Jose Aldo. A win for Pettis would set up a long awaited 'superfight' against Aldo, or an absolute barn burner against McGregor, if 'The Notorious' makes a return to 145lbs after his UFC 202 Lightweight title bout against Philadelphia favourite Eddie Alvarez.
