What next for Michael Bisping:
The main event of UFC 204 seen Manchester's Michael Bisping retain his Middleweight crown against the now retired Dan 'Hendo' Henderson. Despite being dropped and cracked multiple times by the Californian, Bisping was judged to be the more active fighter, as he picked up a unanimous decision victory, becoming the first fighter to reach 20 wins in the Ultimate Fighting Championship. The next title defence could prove to be the Brit's hardest battle of his career.
Luke Rockhold: Former UFC and StrikeForce Middleweight champion Luke Rockhold, has already faced Michael Bisping, twice in fact, winning once and losing his UFC Middleweight championship at UFC 199. Rockhold was expected to face Chris Weidman in their rematch, but the latter had to pull out of the fight, citing a neck injury. Ultimate Fighter season 3 winner Michael 'The Count' Bisping stepped up on 17 days notice to score a shocking first round KO. Rockhold will have to overcome Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practitioner Ronaldo 'Jacare' Souza in Australia if he wants to face Bisping in a trilogy fight.
Ronaldo Souza: 'Jacare' is one of the most feared grapplers in the whole UFC with 16 of his 23 wins coming by submission. With notable wins against Vitor Belfort, Alexander Shlemenko, Gegard Mousasi and former UFC Welterweight champ Robbie Lawler to his name. Souza's last loss in the UFC came in the form of a split decision loss to Cuban wrestler Yoel Romero. With Luke Rockhold on the horizon, 'Jacare' will be looking to avenge his unanimous decision loss to the American, when both men featured at StrikeForce.
Chris Weidman: Former UFC Middleweight champion 'The All-American' Chris Weidman, has only been beaten once in his professional career, after he was stopped by Luke Rockhold back at UFC 194 in the fourth round of their bout. The 2 time NCAA Divison 1 All-American had a successful period as champion in UFC, beating Anderson Silva to claim the crown, before again beating 'The Spider' after the Brazilian seen his leg kick attempt checked, which subsequently broke his tibia and fibula. Weidman also successfully defended against Lyoto Machida and then fellow Brazilian Vitor Belfort. Chris' best ability is undoubtedly his wrestling, but he also has 6 knockouts on his record, with notable stoppages coming in the first bout against Silva when the Brazil fighter invited him forward before being dropped, and also in his last title defence, finishing Vitor Belfort in the first round at UFC 187. Weidman will test his wrestling skills against Cuban Yoel Romero at New York's UFC 205 in November.
Yoel Romero: The 'Soldier of God' Yoel Romero also has an extensive background in wrestling winning a sliver medal at the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games. Romero has also only been beaten once in his MMA career, when he was KOed by Rafael 'Feijao' Cavalcante back in StrikeForce. Yoel's career hasn't been without controversy though, after he tested positive for a banned substance in an out of competition test by USADA and was subsequently handed a six month suspension. Romero also received criticism following his win over Tim Kennedy, after the Cuban refused to move from his stool in between rounds, therefore gaining a longer rest bite period than Kennedy, before knocking out the veteran.
