Fabricio Werdum and Cain Velasquez 2 slated for UFC 207:

With Ronda Rousey making her return to the octagon against Amanda Nunes in a UFC Women's Bantamweight title fight, Dana White and the UFC matchmakers are apparently looking at the possibility of setting up a rematch between former UFC Heavyweight champions, Fabricio Werdum and Mexican hero Cain Velasquez. Renowned wrestler and cardio machine, Velasquez lost his UFC Heavyweight crown to Werdum after shooting for a takedown, with the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu expert, Werdum, catching him in a guillotine, forcing him to tap, and thus relinquish his title. Velasquez's last bout came at UFC 200, in the form of Travis 'Hapa' Browne. Velasquez displayed his vast striking skills throughout, scoring a stoppage victory to get back to winning ways in the octagon. Fabricio Werdum had his first title defence in his home country Brazil at UFC 197, losing to now champion, Stipe Miocic. Werdum looked to be the aggressor early on in the bout, repeatedly chasing Miocic with his chin up, before the Cleveland favourite clipped Werdum, sending him to the mat. Werdum has since recovered well from the loss, also beating Travis Browne in the pairs rematch, looking very sharp on his way to a decision victory. With Miocic successfully defending his title at UFC 203, against Alistair Overeem, scoring an impressive first round KO. It now looks likely that the winner of Werdum and Velazquez 2, will be given the chance to reclaim his title against Stipe Miocic.
