GSP tells of terminated UFC contract:

Former UFC Welterweiht champion, and the pride of Canada, Georges St-Pierre has told how he has terminated his contract with the Ultimate Fighting Championship and how he is now a free agent. Appearing on Ariel Helwani's 'MMAHour' podcast, GSP told how "when the new owners came, all the offers were off the table", but tells how if Lorenzo Fertitta were still at the helm, a deal may have been reached. Many believed we would see the return of 'Rush' at UFC 206 in his home country, Canada, against maybe Anderson SIlva. But earlier in the week, Dana White completely denied this fight, telling how GSP wasn't "crazy" on fighting while he was fighting. Many are now speculating what could be next for St-Pierre, with many posing the question of a move to the Bellator organisation, with current ONE and former Bellator Welterweight champion, Ben Askren, calling out the Canadian for a bout. Many have speculated the reasons for the failed negotiations, with some contributing them to the current Reebok deal in the UFC, which allows no fighter to have any outside sponsors, sponsor their fight kits, and with GSP sponsored by Under Armour, he would be forced to wear the Reebok sponsored fight kits, thus receiving a smaller fee than if he were to wear Under Armour sponsored gear.
