UFC Belfast loses main event as Gunnar Nelson suffers foot injury:
Icelandic favourite Gunnar 'Gunni' Nelson, has been forced to withdraw from his main event clash against Dong Hyun Kim at UFC Fight Night Belfast, after the SBG fighter is said to have injured his foot. The cancellation of the main event, sees a rematch between Gegard Mousasi and Uriah Hall booked for the Fight Night main event. Mousasi, only weeks after dismantling Vitor Belfort in the second round at UFC 204, will take on former foe Uriah Hall in the headliner. Hall has recently suffered a decision loss to Robert Whittaker, before being stopped in the first round by Derek Brunson at UFC Fight Night Hidalgo. The Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt, Nelson, was said to have injured his foot during his camp for the headliner against 'Stun Gun', and was forced to throw in the towel after assessing the injury. Rumours circulated during the week, that Michael Bisping was prepared to defend his Middleweight crown at UFC 206 in Canada, against Mousasi, but the Dutchman now has a chance at redemption against Hall, who convincingly stopped the former DREAM and StrikeForce champion, with a spinning back kick to the head, stunning the Dutch man, before finishing with a flying knee and strikes on the mat.
