Michael Bisping switches attention to Nick Diaz:

Current UFC Middleweight champion, Michael Bisping, has seemingly given up on the idea of a title defence against Georges St-Pierre at UFC 206, and has instead called out former StrikeForce champ Nick Diaz for the Canada card. Bisping successfully defended his Middleweight crown against Dan Henderson at UFC 204, and is now looking to jump back into the octagon mere weeks from the Manchester bout. Earlier in the week, Bisping told how he had officially accepted to face GSP, but St-Pierre took to social media to express his disappointment that the bout didn't seem likely, considering Dana White's relationship with him. So with Chris Weidman taking on fellow contender Yoel Romero, and Luke Rockhold featuring against 'Jacare' Souza, who can Bisping face next? Well the Brit has turned to Stockton favourite Nick Diaz. The older brother of Nate Diaz, has not featured in the octagon since his loss to former Middleweight king Anderson Silva, due to a failed drug test in which he tested positive for marijuana, and was handed a outrageous 5 year suspension, before a successful appeal reduced the ban to 18 months, as he was also slapped with a $100,000 fine for the offence. One stumbling block that may prevent Diaz from facing Bisping, is the much talked about $75,000 that Diaz has yet to pay to the Nevada State Atlectic Comission, thus preventing him from competing, and also prevented him from cornering his brother Nate at UFC 196 and UFC 202 respectively.
