Daniel Cormier and Anthony Johnson set to square off at UFC 206:

Current UFC Light Heavyweight champion Daniel 'DC' Cormier will defend his title against Anthony 'Rumble' Johnson for the second time with the pair set to clash heads at Canada's UFC 206. Cormier was scheduled to defend his Light Heavyweight crown against Jon Jones in the main event of UFC 200 in July, but the latter was notified of a potential anti-doping violation by the United States Anti Doping Agency, forcing Dana White and the UFC brass to pull him from the card. Legendary Brazil native Anderson Silva replaced Jones and faced Cormier in a Light Heavyweight 3 round bout. Cormier used his superior wrestling to take Silva down multiple times throughout the 15 minutes as he scored a unanimous decision victory. 'Rumble[s]' last bout on the other hand came in the form of a co-main event fight against Glover Teixiera at UFC 202 in which the American scored a vicious 13 second KO stoppage. Johnson's dominance in the division sees him granted another shot at Cormier, hoping to put in a better showing than his UFC 188 performance when he was submitted in the 3rd round via rear naked choke. Jon Jones was expected to defend his title against Johnson but a hit-and-run incident led to him being replaced by former champion Cormier. The Olympic wrestler again used his wrestling experience to his advantage as he dominated the predominantly striking orientated 'Rumble' on the ground. The Toronto card is rumoured to be the venue for Canadian superstar Georges St. Pierre's return to the octagon since his departure in 2013 after he successfully defended his UFC Welterweight title against Johnny Hendricks before vacating it as he left the organisation.
