An eye-catching middleweight pairing between submission ace, Jack 'The Joker' Hermansson, and one-time welterweight title challenger, Darren 'The Gorilla' Till is set for a UFC Fight Night main event on December 5th. - pending the medical clearance of Liverpool striker, Till's injured left knee. A location or venue for the card has yet to be determined by the promotion.

Swedish born finisher, Hermansson - like opponent, Till, recently featured at a UFC 'Fight Island' event in July - scoring a quickfire heel hook win over common opponent, Kelvin Gastelum. The win marked a return to winning ways for the former Cage Warriors middleweight titleholder.

Himself attempting to return to the win column, 27-year-old Muay Thai practitioner, Till dropped a hugely-close unanimous decision to former division kingpin, Robert 'The Reaper' Whittaker in a 'Fight Island' headliner on July 26th. ESPN writer, Brett Okamoto was first to report the middleweight matching.

Hermansson, 32 - got back to winning ways opposite the aforenoted one-time interim title challenger, Gastelum - following the snapping on his four-fight win streak at the hands of fellow perennial contender, Jared Cannonier at UFC Fight Night Copenhagen last September.

An eleven fight Octagon veteran, Oslo based all-rounder, Hermansson has notched recent career-high wins over former Strikeforce middleweight gold holder, Jacaré Souza, one-time UFC middleweight title challenger, Thales Leites, former WSOF two-weight champion, David Branch, and fellow grappling talent, Gerald Meerschaert. From twenty-one professional triumphs, Hermansson has scored eleven knockouts, and six submission wins.

Since his move to middleweight waters back in November 2019 - Till has scored a 1-1 record in the division. Following a D'Arce defeat to then welterweight titleholder, Tyron Woodley, and then a main event knockout loss to the reinvigorated, Jorge Masvidal - the Team Kaobon mainstay returned to the winner's enclosure against Gastelum.

The poised Muay Thai counter striker will feature in a headlining bout for the fifth time in his UFC stint, following a prior stoppage win over future Hall of Fame inductee, Donald 'Cowboy' Cerrone in Gdansk, Poland, and a homecoming UFC Liverpool victory over Stephen 'Wonderboy' Thompson in a close back-and-forth.
