A welterweight pairing between promotional newcomers Philip 'The Fresh Prince' Rowe and Matthew 'Semi' Semelsberger is slated for UFC Fight Night Vegas on August 22nd. - with the UFC Apex facility in Nevada set to host the card.

Brooklyn born finisher, Rowe will make his eventual Octagon debut later this month, following his successful outing on Dana White's Contenders Series last August, where he managed a knockout win over Leon Shahbazyan - the older brother of middleweight contender, Edmen.

Maryland native, Semelsberger will also make his first UFC appearance - carrying with him a three-fight winning run from the regional circuit. Sources close to Fight Bananas confirmed the tie, requesting anonymity in the process as the organization are yet to officially announce the contest.

Rowe, 30 - holds seven professional successes, seven of which have come within the distance - with four submissions and three stoppages via strikes. The Florida based debutante was set to make his premier Octagon appearance earlier this year but was forced from a pairing with fellow upstart, Laureano Staropoli, and an April UFC Fight Night Portland pairing with Cole Williams - the latter as a result of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Semelsberger, 27, looks to make good on his UFC call, and extend a winning run to four bouts - which already includes stoppage wins over Richard Patishnock, and Kris Gratalo - to go with a close split decision win over Zulkarnaiyan Kamchybekov. From his 6-2 professional record, Semelsberger has been finished twice by both Darren Costa via a D'Arce, and Jerome Featherstone in a third-round knockout.
