Report: Modestas Bukauskas vs. Jimmy Crute Added to UFC Event on October 17th.

Fresh from his successful UFC Fight Island exploits opposite Andreas Michailidis, former Cage Warriors light heavyweight titleholder, Modestas Bukauskas has his next Octagon appearance booked. The Lithuanian striker is set to meet with Australian all-rounder, Jimmy 'The Brute' Crute at a UFC Fight Night event on October 17th. - with a location or venue yet to be determined by the promotion.

Gintas MMA mainstay, Bukauskas made his long-awaited Octagon bow at a UFC Fight Night event on 'Fight Island' in July - scoring an opening-round knockout victory over fellow promotional debutante, Michailidis with a series of elbow strikes against the Octagon fence.

Dana White's Contenders Series product, Crute last featured at UFC Fight Night Auckland in February - scoring an eye-catching kimura finish over Michał Oleksiejczuk in the opening frame also. Sources close to Ross Markey MMA confirmed the pairing between the two light heavyweight prospects.

Now undefeated in his last eight professional appearances, 205-pound finisher Bukauskas will look to continue his early success with the UFC, following his transition from the leading European outfit, Cage Warriors at the beginning of the year.

The 26-year-old has managed to finish all but one of his eleven professional victories, adding Michailidis to a winning streak which includes prior successes opposite the likes of Riccardo Nosiglia, Marthin Hamlet Nielsen, Martin Wójcik, and Dan Konecke;

New South Wales native, Crute looks to make his fifth Octagon appearance, at just 24-year's-of-age. With four finishes by strikes and four stoppages via submission - Crute represents a significantly well-rounded light heavyweight upstart.

Following his signature to the UFC from DWCS back in July 2014 - Crute has managed to dispatch notable names such as Paul Craig, Sam Alvey, and the above noted, Oleksiejczuk, in between his first professional defeat against, Misha Cirkunov.
