Let's try this one again. A middleweight main event between division icon, Anderson 'The Spider' Silva, and TUF finalist, Uriah 'Primetime' Hall is scheduled to headline a UFC Fight Night event on October 31st. - with a location and venue yet to be determined by the promotion.

Silva and Hall were first planned to meet back at UFC 198 in May of 2016 - with the former middleweight best forced from the contest, requiring surgery to remove his gallbladder. Hall was subsequently removed from the Curitiba event.

In the penultimate fight of his current Octagon deal, mixed martial arts legend, Silva will look to finally bring a halt to a two-fight losing streak. The 45-year-old last featured at UFC 237 last May in Rio de Janeiro, losing via a first-round knockout to contender, Jared Cannonier after a barrage of leg kicks.

Hoping to finally feature in the Octagon this year - Hall has been removed from two prior high-profile pairings. The Spanish Town native was initially scheduled to meet with former Strikeforce 185-pound champion, Jacaré Souza at UFC 249 in May - until the Brazilian was diagnosed with COVID-19.

Hall was then slated to meet with multiple-time title challenger, Yoel Romero at UFC Fight Night Vegas this weekend - with an undisclosed injury forcing the Cuban wrestler from the bout. UFC president, Dana White confirmed the Halloween headliner.

Dropping four of his last five Octagon outings, counter striking ace, Silva has fallen far from his prior noted middleweight championship success. Following a string of defeats to former gold holder, Chris Weidman - Silva would go on to drop outings to Michael Bisping, Daniel Cormier, current titleholder, Israel Adesanya, and the aforenoted, Cannonier.

Briefly returning to the win column - Silva managed a close unanimous decision victory over now streaking challenger, Derek Brunson at UFC 208 in February 2017. In a storied, gold-laden career - Silva has dispatched the likes of Rich Franklin (x2), Chael Sonnen (x2), Dan Henderson, Forest Griffin, Demian Maia, Yushin Okami, and Vitor Belfort to name a few.

Fortis MMA mover, Hall has recaptured some eye-catching form as of late. The Jamaican striker has notched two straight wins - stopping Bevon Lewis, before taking a close split judging win over Antônio 'Shoeface' - taking the #9 rank at middleweight.

The seven-year, fourteen fight Octagon veteran has nabbed other notable victories over the likes of decorated Dutch striker, Gegard Mousasi, recent light heavyweight title challenger, Thiago Santos, common foe, Chris Leben, and Polish contender, Krzysztof Jotko.
