Report: Curtis Blaydes vs. Derrick Lewis Headlines UFC Event on November 28th.

A potential title-eliminator at heavyweight his take curtain closing honours at a UFC Fight Night event on November 28th. Perennial contender, Curtis 'Razor' Blaydes is set to meet with one-time title challenger, Derrick 'The Black Beast' Lewis - with a location and venue for the event yet to be determined by the promotion.

Surging wrestling force, Blaydes looks to continue his assault to the heavyweight summit, currently held by Stipe Miocic - following his June unanimous judging win over former Bellator MMA titleholder, Alexander Volkov.

Attempting to earn a second title challenge under the UFC's banner, exciting heavyweight challenger, Lewis is fresh from an August 8th. knockout win over veteran submission threat, Aleksei 'The Boa Constrictor' Oleinik. ESPN reporter, Brett Okamoto was first to report the news of the high-stakes matching.

Illinois Juco national champion, Blaydes has so far utilised his wrestling prowess to dispatch nine Octagon opponents. Between a string of defeats to one-time title titler, and number-one contender, Francis Ngannou - Blaydes has emerged as a serious contender in the division.

From those nine victories, Blaydes has managed to knock back former world champions, Junior dos Santos, Mark Hunt, the aforenoted, Volkov, and Alistair Overeem. From fourteen professional victories, Blaydes has ended ten within the distance via strikes.

A contender accustomed to finishing fights via knockout - New Orleans fan-favourite, Lewis set a division record in his aforementioned win over common foe, Oleinik. With the second-round barrage, Lewis scored his thirteen UFC win via knockout - eclipsing the prior divisional record.

In some notable victories, Lewis has finished the likes of Travis Browne, another common opponent, Volkov, Marcin Tybura, Gabriel Gonzaga, and Shamil Abdurakhimov to name a few.
