Report: Thiago Moisés vs. Jalin Turner Slated for UFC Vegas on September 5th.

A lightweight matchup between Dana White's Contenders Series alumnus, Thiago Moisés, and Jalin 'The Tarantula' Turner has been added to a UFC Fight Night Vegas event on September 5th. - from the UFC Apex facility in Nevada.

Nabbing the most high-profile win of his professional career in his last outing, grappling ace, Moisés secured a second-frame heel hook submission over former lightweight mainstay, Michael Johnson at UFC Fight Night Jacksonville in May.

Also returning to the winner's enclosure, striking talent, Turner finished Joshua Culibao at UFC Fight Night Auckland in February, in his second win since his return to 155-pounds. News of the lightweight pairing was initially reported by Combate'sRaphael Marinho.

A Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt under Paulo Streckert, American Top Team trainee, Moisés has featured four times under the UFC's banner, following his successful head kick knockout win over Gleidson Curtis on DWCS back in August of 2018.

The former RFA lightweight titleholder has notched six submission wins, and in between losses to fellow grappling talent, Beneil Dariush, and former M-1 Global lightweight best, Damir Ismagulov, Moisés bested Kurt Holobaugh, and the aforenoted, Johnson.

Californian upstart, Turner has similarly faced stiff competition in his brief UFC stint so far. In his promotional bow, Turner was paired with welterweight contender, Vicente Luque - losing via first frame knockout. In his second loss under the UFC's scrutiny, Turner dropped a unanimous judging against, Matt Frevola.

Finding his way to the win column, Turned notched a triumph over Callan Potter, and then the previously mentioned, Culibao - with both finishes coming via strikes.
