Report: Renato Moicano vs. Magomed Mustafaev Added to UFC Event on October 17th.

An interesting lightweight pairing between Brazilian submission specialist, Renato Moicano and prominent finisher, Magomed 'Sniper' Mustafaev has been booked for a UFC Fight Night event on October 17th. - with a location and venue for the event yet to be determined by the organization.
In his second Octagon appearance of the year - Moicano last featured at UFC Fight Night Brasília in March, securing a forty-four-second rear-naked choke win over Damir Hadžović in a home soil lightweight debut win.
Also featuring for the second time this year - Dagestani knockout artist, Mustafaev dropped a close split decision to Brad Riddell at UFC Fight Night Auckland in February. News of the 155-pound pairing was initially reported by Combate reporter, Raphael Marinho.
Brasília native, Moicano has established a 6-3 promotional record, hitting the ground running at his new lightweight home in March. In promotional defeats, Moicano has dropped losses to perennial featherweight contenders, Brian Ortega, and Chan Sung Jung, as well as a knockout defeat to former division champion, José Aldo.
In his six wins under the organization's banner - the 31-year-old American Top Team trainee has scored eye-catching victories over Zubaira Tukhugov, promotion veterans, Jeremy Stephens, and Cub Swanson, and a unanimous decision win over surging featherweight contender, Calvin Kattar.
4-2 in the UFC since his first Octagon walk back in June of 2015 - former middleweight, Mustafaev has notched triumphs over Piotr Hallman, Joe Proctor, and former kickboxing ace, Phuket Muay Thai staple, Rafael Fiziev.
Prior to his split judging loss to the aforenoted, Riddell - Mustafaev suffered a rear-naked choke defeat to one-time interim lightweight title challenger, Kevin 'The Mo'Town Phenom' Lee at UFC Fight Night Belfast in the summer of 2016.
The UFC Fight Night event is set to be headlined by a high-stakes featherweight pairing between one-time title challengers, the aforementioned, Jung and Ortega - following a shelved matchup last December in South Korea.
