An interesting heavyweight matchup between decorated kickboxing ace, Alistair 'The Demolition Man' Overeem, and Brazilian upstart, Augusto Sakai is currently targeted to headline a UFC Fight Night event on September 5th. - with a location and venue yet to be confirmed by the promotion.

Recently returning to the win column, former Strikeforce, DREAM, and K-1 gold holder, Overeem finished Walt Harris at UFC Fight Night Jacksonville in March. Extending his undefeated run in the promotion to four. Paraná native, Sakai notched a controversial split decision win over Blagoy Ivanov at UFC Fight Night Vegas in May in his most recent Octagon appearance. One-time UFC heavyweight title challenger, Overeem is hoping to continue his siege to one final title shot in his storied career.
