Jéssica Andrade Moving to flyweight, Meeting With Jessica Eye Targeted For October 17th.

Brazilian all-rounder, Jéssica 'Bate Estaca' Andrade seems to have found a happy medium. The former UFC strawweight titleholder is expected to test flyweight waters on October 17th. - with a pairing opposite one-time title challenger, Jessica 'Evil' Eye in the works for the event.
Making a somewhat timely turnaround, Andrade suffered her second consecutive defeat at strawweight - losing a unanimous decision rematch to fellow former champion, Rose Namajunas at UFC 251 on Fight Island in June. The 28-year-old has also competed as high as 135-pounds in her Octagon stint.
Headlining UFC Fight Night Vegas on June 13th. - Ohio native, Eye dropped a unanimous decision loss to division mover, Cynthia Calvillo, marking her second defeat in three UFC outings. News of the targeted tie was initially reported by ESPN's, Brett Okamoto.
Claiming the strawweight title at UFC 237 last May, Andrade managed a brutal slam knockout of the aforementioned, Namajunas - extending her winning run to four fights in the process. In her first attempted title defence, the Paraná native met with Zhang Weili at UFC Fight Night Shenzhen in August - dropping an opening minute stoppage loss via strikes.
Since her return to 125-pounds back in January of 2018, 34-year-old striker, Eye has managed a 4-2 promotional record. Earning a title tilt opposite the ever-present, Valentina Shevchenko - Eye nabbed wins over Kalindra Faria, Jessica-Rose Clark, and Katlyn Chookagian. In a worrying stoppage loss, Eye suffered a second-round high kick knockout against Shevchenko - her premier blemish in three fights.
