Jack Shore Meets Aaron Phillips on Short-Notice on July 15th. UFC Fight Island Event

Jack 'Tank' Shore will remain on the July 15th. UFC 'Fight Island' event. The Welsh prospect's appearance was in jeopardy, after his original opponent, Anderson dos Santos was forced to withdraw from the meeting - having provided a positive pre-fight COVID-19 test. In the Brazilian's place, steps the promotional returnee, Aaron 'The Model' Phillips in a short-notice bantamweight tie.

Undefeated former Cage Warriors bantamweight best, Shore will attempt to improve his 12-0 professional record, following a UFC debut win over Nohelin Hernandez at UFC Fight Night Copenhagen last September. In his first Octagon outing in six years - Lafayette-based all-rounder, Phillips brings a five-fight win streak with him to Abu Dhabi, UAE. News of the reworked matching was initially reported by MMA Junkie writers, Nolan King and Simon Head.

Shore, 25 - is finally expected to make his second appearance in the UFC, following an earlier cancelled matchup opposite Geraldo de Freitas at UFC Fight Night London in March - with the entire shelving of the event amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Shore carried an eleven fight undefeated run into his promotional debut with the UFC, which included wins over Scott Malone, Mike Ekundayo, and Weslley Maia.

30-year-old Headkicks MMA staple, Phillips first featured in the UFC back in 2014 - dropping defeats to both Sam Sicilia, and Matt Hober. A move to World Fighting Championships the following year resulted in a turn of fortunes, as Phillips picked up a 5-1 record under the organization's banner. From eleven career victories, Phillips has notched six finishes.
