Roxanne Modafferi vs. Andrea Lee II Targeted for UFC Event on September 12th.

Veteran grappler, Roxanne 'The Happy Warrior' Modafferi is planning a quick turnaround from her decision defeat to Lauren Murphy at UFC Fight Night Vegas on June 20th. - as she's expected to welcome Andrea 'KGB' Lee to the Octagon on September 12th. in a top-ten flyweight rematch.

Modafferi was approaching her second-title tilt under the UFC's banner, following a shocking decision judging over rising prospect. Maycee Barber at UFC 246 in January - prior to her defeat to former Invicta FC bantamweight best, Murphy. Riding a two-fight skid which includes two close split decision losses - Texas native, Lee - will attempt to return to the win column, having also dropped her most recent defeat to Murphy. News of the re-run was initially reported by MMA Junkie reporters, Nolan King and John Morgan.

Modafferi and Lee initially met back in 2014 when both competed under the Invicta FC banner, with the former - taking a split decision win, and handing Lee her first professional loss.

Delaware native, Modafferi will make her forty-second mixed martial arts walk - quite a staggering number. Since her eventual Octagon bow back in December of 2017, the Mike Pyle and Evan Dunham Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt has managed to secure a 3-4 record since. Making a short-notice inaugural title challenge opposite Nicco Montaño - Modafferi lost a unanimous decision. In promotional wins, Modafferi has scored triumphs over Barb Honchak, Antonina Shevchenko, and the aforementioned, Barber.

Inaugural LFA flyweight titleholder, Lee has managed to notch a 3-2 record since her first appearance in May of 2018. Hitting the ground running, the 31-year-old scored wins over Veronica Macedo, Ashlee Evans-Smith, and Montana De La Rosa - before two close losses to future title challenger, Joanne Calderwood, and common opponent, Murphy. The Relson Gracie Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu brown belt has scored four submission wins from her fifteen fight professional run.
