Pedro Munhoz, Frankie Edgar Moved to UFC Vegas Headliner on August 22nd.

The bantamweight bow of former UFC lightweight titleholder, Frankie 'The Answer' Edgar, has been relocated for the fourth time. This time, however, the veteran all-rounder will take headlining honours opposite division mainstay, Pedro Munhoz in the main event of UFC Fight Night Vegas on August 22nd. - from the UFC APEX in Nevada.
The Toms River native was scheduled to meet with Munhoz at UFC 251 originally but was then relocated to UFC Fight Island 2 four days later - before that bout was moved to UFC 252 on August 15th. - after the Brazilian had returned a positive test result for COVID-19. According to a report from Combate's, Raphael Marinho - the pairing of Munhoz and Edgar will now headline the August 22nd. event.
Edgar, 38, will attempt to regain the form which saw him challenge then-champion, Max Holloway for the featherweight title last July, having dropped just the second knockout defeat of his storied career, in a first-round loss to Chan Sung Jung on short-notice at UFC Fight Night Busan in December.
São Paulo native, Munhoz is also looking to return to winning ways, after his unanimous decision loss to number-one contender, Aljamain 'Funk Master' Sterling at UFC 238 last June. The defeat to the Matt Serra Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt marked the first in a three-fight rise for Munhoz - who had bested Bryan Caraway, Brett Johns, and a career-highlight knockout over former champion, Cody Garbrandt.
A welterweight pairing of former interim titleholder, Colby Covington, and former undisputed best, Tyron Woodley was tentatively planned to headline the August 22nd. event, however, the 135-pound meeting of Munhoz and Edgar has been drafted as the curtain closer instead.
