Sergio Pettis vs. Ricky Bandejas Added to Bellator Event on July 24th.

In Bellator MMA's first event in five months amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, a high-stakes bantamweight matchup between former UFC flyweight contender, Sergio Pettis, and talented striker, Ricky Bandejas is set to feature on their July 24th. return.

Pettis recently made his promotional bow, extending his undefeated run to two-fights, with a guillotine victory over Alfred Khashakyan. Looking to notch his third win in as many outings, American Top Team trainee, Bandejas last featured at Bellator 240 in Dublin in February, rallying to take a knockout win over division prospect, Frans Mlambo. Milwaukee native, Pettis, the younger brother of former UFC and WEC lightweight best, Anthony - penned a deal with Bellator back at the end of last year, following the end of his contract after his unanimous decision victory over Tyson Nam at UFC Fight Night Mexico City in September. The Roufusport mainstay holds highlight wins over multiple-time title challenger, Joseph Benavidez, Brandon Moreno, and John Moraga.

Following a string of two losses to Juan Archuleta, and Patchy Mix, 28-year-old finisher, Bandejas returned to the win column in a first-round finish of Ahmet Kayretli before his stoppage of Mlambo. In his Bellator bow back in August of 2018 - Bandejas scored a shocking first-round knockout of promotional standout, James 'The Strabanimal' Gallagher.
