Report: Khamzat Chimaev vs. Rhys McKee Targeted for UFC Fight Island Event on July 25th.

A welterweight affair between recent debutante, Khamzat 'The Wolf' Chimaev, and promotional newcomer, Rhys 'Skeletor' McKee is in the works for a UFC Fight Night event on 'Fight Island' on July 25th.

Undefeated Swedish finisher, Chimaev made his first Octagon walk on Wednesday night last, taking a dominant second-round D'Arce win over John Phillips. 24-year-old Cage Warriors mover, McKee would make his first UFC walk, attempting to improve on a three-fight winning streak. News of the targeted pairing was first penned by ESPN reporter, Brett Okamoto.

Former Brave Combat Federation fixture, Chimaev is undefeated as a professional, with seven straight successes. Making big waves just one bout into his UFC stint, the Swede dominated the aforenoted, Phillips on his way to his third career submission triumph.

Ballymena standout, McKee is attempting to make his first UFC walk - after three appearances under the Cage Warriors banner. The all-rounder holds a career win over fellow UFC mover, former Cage Warriors lightweight titleholder, Jai Herbert. Riding a three-fight winning streak, McKee has notched victories over Jefferson George, Perry Andre Goodwin, and Hakon Foss - extending his professional column to 10-2-1.
