A lightweight re-run between division mainstays, 'Groovy' Lando Vannata, and Bobby 'King' Green has been added to UFC Fight Night Vegas on August 1st. - from the UFC Apex facility in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Vannata and Green will lock horns once more, following their split draw outing opposite one another at UFC 216 back in October of 2017. Both have scored a combined, 4-4-1 record in the three years since.

New Jersey-born striker, Vannata - prevented a two-fight skid in his last Octagon appearance, as he managed a unanimous judging win over Yancy Mederios at UFC Fight Night Rio Rancho in February. San Bernardino all-rounder, Green most recently featured at UFC Fight Night Vegas in June, bringing an end to a two-fight losing run, with a unanimous decision triumph over former Strikeforce lightweight titleholder, Clay 'The Carpenter' Guida.

Debuting in the promotion on short-notice at UFC Fight Night Sioux Falls in July of 2016, Vannata almost upset the odds opposite one-time interim 155-pound champion, Tony 'El Cucuy' Ferguson, before dropping a second-frame D'Arce submission. Since the blemish, the Jackson-Wink MMA mainstay has notched wins over John Makdessi, Marcos Rosa Mariano, and the aforementioned, Medeiros. In defeats, the 28-year-old has faltered against David Teymur, Drakkar Klose, and Marc Diakiese.

Veteran knockout and submission threat, Green has been a UFC lightweight mainstay, since February of 2013. The 33-year-old has established a 6-5-1 record under the promotion's scrutiny, taking home notable wins against the likes of Pat Healy, James Krause, Erik Koch, and a close decision triumph over former Strikeforce lightweight and U.S. lightweight gold holder, Josh 'The Punk' Thomson. Under the King of the Cage banner, Green bested both UFC alumni, Darion Cruickshank, as well as the controversial PRIDE FC feature, Charles 'Krazy Horse' Bennett.
