Gillian Robertson vs. Poliana Botelho Added to UFC Event on October 17th.

A flyweight pairing between division prospects, Gillian 'The Savage' Robertson, and Poliana Botelho has been booked for a UFC event on October 17th. - with a location and venue yet to be confirmed by the organization.

Ontario born submission threat, Robertson - managed a slick rear-naked choke triumph over Cortney 'Cast Iron' Casey at UFC Fight Night Vegas in June, returning to the win column in the process. Also scoring a return to winning ways, Minas Gerais native, Botelho took a unanimous decision win over Lauren Meuller at UFC 236 in April of last year. Combate'sRaphael Marinho was first to report the news.

With six successful submission wins - four of which have come under the UFC banner, 25-year-old upstart, Robertson has established herself as a contender worth keeping an eye on as the division grows. The Din Thomas student has bested Emily Whitmire, Molly McCann, Veronica Macedo, and Sarah Frota in her brief UFC stint.

Prior to the win over the above-mentioned, Casey - Robertson was pitted with fellow division prospect, Maycee 'The Future' Barber, where she dropped a first-frame loss via strikes. In her only other Octagon defeat, Robertson was submitted via armbar by Mayra Bueno Silva at UFC Fight Night São Paulo in September of 2018.

Following her successful outing opposite Meuller at UFC 236 last April, Botelho was set to meet with Maryna Moroz at UFC 241 in August, having a matchup with recent feature, Paige VanZant cancelled. Botelho was similarly left opponent-less with Moroz withdrawing due to injury.

Before a loss to top flyweight contender, Cynthia Calvillo, the 31-year-old Brazilian managed to notch wins over both Syuri Kondo, and Pearl Gonzalez. Following last April's success - Botelho improved her professional résumé to 8-2.
