Ryan Hall vs. Ricardo Lamas Rescheduled For UFC Event on August 29th.

A featherweight pairing between talented submission artist, Ryan Hall, and one-time title challenger, Ricardo 'Bully' Lamas has been reworked for a UFC event on August 29th. - following a failed meeting at UFC Fight Night Oklahoma City in April, amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

The Ultimate Fighter 22 victor, Hall - last featured at UFC Fight Night Sacramento last July - taking a unanimous decision win over longtime featherweight challenger, Darren 'The Damage' Elkins. Veteran all-rounder, Lamas made his last appearance in the Octagon back at UFC 238 last June - dropping a first-frame knockout defeat to surging contender, Calvin Kattar. News of the pairing was initially reported by Combate's, Marcelo Barone.

Virginia native, Hall made his Octagon bow back in December of 2015 - winning The Ultimate Fighter lightweight tournament against, Artem Lobov in a unanimous judging. In victories since, The three-time Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu world champion has managed wins against former lightweight title challenger, Gray Maynard, and former lightweight and welterweight champion, B.J. Penn in a nasty heel-hook victory.

Illinois native, Lamas will make his seventeenth Octagon walk since his transition from the now-defunct WEC back in 2011. The 38-year-old challenged then featherweight kingpin, José Aldo for the 145-pound title back in February of 2014 at UFC 169, dropping a unanimous decision. In the last three years, the gritty challenger has dropped three defeats in four outings. In between a win over Darren Elkins - Lamas was knocked out by both Josh Emmett, and the aforenoted, Kattar, prior to a close split decision loss to Mirsad Bektić.
