Report: Geoff Neal vs. Neil Magny Targeted for UFC Vegas on August 29th.

Well, it seems surging welterweight challenger, Geoff 'Handz of Steel' Neal finally has a matchup in the works. The prolific kickboxing ace is targeted to make his first Octagon appearance since December of last year, in a meeting with winning contender, Neil Magny - at an August 29th. event in Las Vegas.
Texas native, Neal featured at the aforenoted UFC 245 event in December, finishing polarizing striker, 'Platinum' Mike Perry with a devastating first-round head kick - extending his undefeated run in the UFC to five fights. Making the walk at UFC 250 in June, division mainstay, Magny made it two wins in two, with a unanimous decision victory over Anthony Rocco Martin. News of the targeted bout was initially reported by ESPN's, Brett Okamoto.
29-year-old Fortis MMA staple, Neal - arrived in the UFC back in February of 2018, following a successful showing on Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series, where he notched a knockout of Chase Walton. In wins prior to his triumph over Perry, Neal stopped Frank Camacho, Brian Camozzi, and Niko Price, between a judging win over Belal Muhammad. Sitting at the #10 rank at 170-pounds, a win over someone of Magny's stature would further his title aspirations no end.
Ahead of his remarkable twenty-third Octagon appearance, division standout, Magny - will look to knock back the emerging Neal, and add him to a recent run which includes victories over Li Jingliang, and the previously mentioned, Martin. Since his debut under the UFC's banner all the way back in February of 2013, Elevation Fight Team trainee, Magny has managed notable wins over former welterweight titleholder, Johny Hendricks, former WEC and UFC interim welterweight best, Carlos Condit, one-time interim title challenger, Kelvin Gastelum, and one-time Bellator 185-pound gold holder, Hector Lombard.
