Aiemann Zahabi V Reginaldo Vieira What will go down:
Aiemann Zahabi on the verge of UFC bow against TUF Brazil victor. |
Undefeated promotion newcomer Aiemann Zahabi, will make his first walk to the octagon this weekend, when he faces off against impressive grappler Reginaldo Vieira at UFC Fight Night Halifax. Canadian Zahabi, is the younger brother of the renowned coach Firas Zahabi, who runs Tristar Gym, home to upcoming Bellator debutant Rory MacDonald, Lightweight contender Joe Duffy, Joanne Calderwood and Middleweight Robert Whittaker. Highly established centre Tristar, was the training camp to former UFC champs Georges St-Pierre and Jon 'Bones' Jones, as well as former World Extreme Cagefighting king Miguel Torres. Younger Zahabi brother Aiemann, is yet to go the distance in any of his 6 professional bouts, finishing all opponents via knockout or submission before the final bell. 29 year-old Quebec native Aiemann, faces a tough test in his octagon bow, against Ultimate Fighter Brazil season 4 champion Reginaldo Vieira. Brazilian grappler Vieira, has a legitimately devastating guillotine, one of his favourite grappling techniques, picking up an impressive 5 career wins by the same choke. Vieira, can be submitted himself though, evident from his rear-naked choke loss to Marco Beltran in his last contest. Although Vieria matches Zahabi with his grappling ability, Aiemann will most certainly hold the advantage on the feet, and with a mentor like the phenomenal Firas Zahabi above him, anything is possible.
