Stipe Miocic V Junior dos Santos II set for UFC 211:
UFC Heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic, will have his second title defence at UFC 211 in Dallas, Texas, when he rematchs former champ Junior dos Santos 'Cigano'. Both men faced off back in December 2014, with JDS winning via unanimous decision against the Ohio favourite. Miocic headlined UFC 203 in Cleveland, Ohio, securing a first round KO over MMA icon Alistair 'The Reem' Overeem, while Brazil's dos Santos recovering from his stoppage loss to Overeem, with a decision victory over 'Big' Ben Rothwell last April. Both men are highly accomplished boxers, with 24 knockout wins between them both. Junior is looking to claim his second reign as Heavyweight champ, after he knocked out Cain Velasquez in the pairs first, of an eventual trilogy battle. Miocic also has underestimated grappling ability, and a quite reasonable guard for a predominantly striker. It remains to be seen if dos Santos still has the ability to withstand the power of Miocic, after twice being stopped since his first title success, falling to Velasquez and the aforementioned Overeem.
