Glover Teixeira out wrestles Jared Cannonier to pick up decision win:

Teixeira recovers from 'Rumble' KO with dominant win.
Light Heavyweight top contender Glover Teixeira faced up and coming Jared Cannonier at UFC 208, in a surprising matchup for the veteran Brazilian. Teixeira, was dramatically finished in just 13 seconds by Anthony 'Rumble' Johnson in his last bout, while 32 year-old Cannonier picked up a decision win over Ion Cutelaba last time out. Glover has immense experience in his career, beating former UFC Light Heavyweight champs Quinton 'Rampage' Jackson and Rashad Evans in his highly respected career. Referee Kevin MacDonald got us started for this interesting bout, with both men tentative throughout the first minute. Glover secured a quick single leg and made his way to half guard, before Cannonier defended with a bufferfly guard. Teixeira tried for a guillotine which was defended by Cannonier. So far, Cannonier was defending capably. Cannonier scooted to the fence to stand up, and then landed a good knee, before wobbling Teixeira with an uppercut. Intriguing second round ahead. The second round began with a good combination from Cannonier. Glover against secured that single leg, putting Jared on his back. Cannonier was once more attempting to find his feet, before Kevin MacDonald elected to stand them up, strangely. Glover then tagged Cannonier with a good right hand, and then shot him to the body as the round ended. The third and final round began with another takedown for Glover, three for three. Glover secured full mount before taking the back of the 'Killa Gorilla', who then recovered to half guard. The third found ended with Glover most certainly ahead on the score cards. The judges awarded the unanimous decision win to the Brazilian Glover Teixeira.
