Georges St-Pierre and the UFC agree terms, new contract imminent:

Who wouldn't pay to see this matchup again?
The return of Georges 'Rush' St-Pierre may finally be on the cards, after it was revealed that the former UFC Welterweight title holder, had agreed terms with the Ultimate Fighting Championship, and that a new contract was to be signed imminently. The Canadian star announced he would be taking a break from the world of MMA back in December 2013, after his ninth successful title defence, claiming a controversial split decision victory against Johnny Hendricks, before vacating the gold. Talk of a return to the octagon has been rife ever since his departure, but had noticeably intensified in the last three to four months, with many expecting him to return at UFC 206 in Canada against Middleweight champion Michael Bisping, but the bout never came to fruition, with GSP claiming how he was trying to sort things out with the organisation and that his relationship with president Dana White had improved considerably, opening the door for a possible return in the nearby future. So with the news of the an agreement announced today, speculation is mounting that he may face the winner of UFC 209's main event between Tyron Woodley and Stephen Thompson, or how he may leapfrog both Jacaré Souza and Yoel Romero to face Michael Bisping. Superfight rumours between St-Pierre and Anderson Silva has been circulating for countless years at this stage, while many wondering whether the return of Nick Diaz or if Conor McGregor is unable to trash out his fight with Floyd Mayweather Jr., will be enough to bring an end to that hiatus.
