Rafael Dos Anjos V Tony Ferguson: What will go down.

The main event of The Ultimate Fighter Latin American 3 finale sees former UFC Lightweight champion Rafael Dos Anjos face exciting grappler Tony 'El Cucuy' Ferguson. #2 ranked Dos Anjos lost his title to UFC 205 main eventer Eddie Alvarez, with the Philadelphia native forcing Herb Dean to step in after repeatedly stunning the Brazilian with uppercuts. Tony Ferguson on the other hand narrowly found a way past UFC newcomer Lando Vanatta, weathering a first round storm to lock in a D'arce choke to secure his 8th consecutive victory to propel him to #3 in the Lightweight rankings. Dos Anjos had one successful title defence, when he easily overcame Donald 'Cowboy' Cerrone with a barrage of strikes to force an early first round stoppage. Dos Anjos also overcame former Lightweight champ Anthony Pettis when the pair met, applying severe, smothering pressure, and utilising a clever tactic of legs kicks to prevent Pettis' creative striking style. Ferguson also demonstrated his smothering style when he faced Muay Thai practitioner Edson Barboza, on his way to another D'arce choke finish. A win for either men may set up a potential title eliminator against the winner of UFC 205's Lightweight clash featuring Khabib Nurmagomedov and striker Michael Johnson, with a shot at either the next Lightweight champion, with Eddie Alvarez defending his strap against Conor McGregor in the main event of Madison Square Garden's UFC 205.

Tony Ferguson via submission.
