Derek Brunson eyes Yoel Romero title shot if he gets past Whittaker:

Explosive wrestler Derek Brunson, is already eyeing his next fight if he finds a way past UFC Melbourne opponent Robert Whittaker. Brunson, has expressed his interest in taking on fellow wrestler Yoel 'Soldier of God' Romero, who is rumoured to be UFC Middleweight champion Michael Bisping's next title defence.m, after the Olympic wrestler secured a flying knee KO over Chris Weidman at UFC 205. Brunson is said to be confident of a Romero win, and eyes the Cuban as his next opponent. If the fight that Brunson is hoping for takes place, it leaves the question, who does Ronaldo 'Jacaré' Souza, or Gegard Mousasi take on? The former StrikeForce champ, was scheduled to main event the Melbourne card against former title holder Luke Rockhold, but the latter pulled on citing injury, while #5 ranked Mousasi is coming off two recent impressive wins over Vitor Belfort and a UFC Belfast first round knockout over Uriah Hall. #3 ranked 'Jacaré' last featured against Vitor Belfort at UFC 198, dominating his fellow Brazilian before scoring a first round knockout. A possible option would be for Souza and Mousasi to square off, while Luke Rockhold could finally fulfil his rematch with Chris 'The All American' Weidman, to establish some real title contenders, while Vitor Belfort told how he may be taking on former UFC Middleweight icon Anderson Silva, with the loser more than likely to call time on their magnificent careers if the bout takes place.
