Takedowns the difference between Jim Miller and Thiago Alves:

The second bout of UFC 205 seen a catchweight bout between Jim Miller and former UFC Welterweight title contender Thiago 'Pitbull' Alves. Both men missed the 155lbs Lightweight limit, thus resulting in a catchweight battle. Miller dominated most of the first round exchanges and landed a takedown to give him the advantage on the judges score card. Thiago Alves landed some decent shots in the second but a second takedown for Miller may sway the judges in the American's favour. The third seen another takedown landed for Miller, but Alves was the more active fighter landing more blows. Miller landed another's takedown to make it 4 from 6 for takedowns. The second fight of the night also went to decision, with Jim Miller handed another decision win to continue his good run in the UFC.
