Kamaru Usman calls out Demian Maia again:
Ultimate Fighter: American Top Team V The Blackzillians winner Kamaru Usman has once again called out Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu expert Demian Maia for a Welterweight contest. Usman won a unanimous decision against Warlley Alves at UFC Fight Night: Bader V Nogueira 2. Usman, undefeated in the Ultimate Fighting Championship, will most certainly face a tough matchup against the #1 ranked Welterweight contender Maia. Maia was said to have been promised a title shot against the winner of Tyron 'The Chosen One' Woodley's defence against Stephen 'Wonderboy' Thompson at UFC 205, but after the pairs majority draw, a rematch has been touted as the next fight for each competitor. Maia is on a six fight win streak, most recently making easy work of Carlos Condit, securing a first round rear-naked choke finish. Maia would most certainly be a huge favourite if the bout were to take place, however unlikely it may seem.
